“Our Sulis Goldens story: Before Bella had her pups we were fully invested in the litter, Lisa explained everything in excellent detail and made us free like part of the family, we were involved in every step, from the day we found out Bella was expecting, to the day Bella gave birth and sharing in the absolute joy. "We were initially drawn to Sulis Goldens because Bella looked like an outstanding exemplar of the GR breed. The breeder, Lisa, was approachable and responsive, with a clear devotion to dog training and handling. From the beginning the breeder kept us up to date and involved with Bella’s pregnancy planning and developments. Confirmation of Bella’s pregnancy created whoops of delight in our family and we all shared Lisas regular updates as they were provided. By the time the pups were due to be born we felt absolutely included in the experience - sharing feelings of apprehension and excitement as Bella was finally confined to her whelping box within the heart of the family home. The first photos of the newborn pups and daily charting of their growth and development continued to provided reassurance and we so appreciated Lisa's clear and consistent communication to keep us updated. Lisa offered video calls and visits prior to our collection date and this further encouraged our attachment and bonding. By the time we collected our pup the experience felt less daunting than with previous breeders. Because of Lisas regular updates, we felt fully oriented to the patterns and routines of the pups and confident in the ongoing availability of Lisa to provide reassurance and support during the transition period and beyond. In the early weeks Lisa continued to provide encouragement and advice - demonstrating the breeder’s interests lie beyond commercial gain. Welcoming a new family member- however exciting- brings change and new challenges. Buying a pup from someone who has taken the time invest in a relationship with the new owners has felt like an entirely different experience and can not be underestimated as a benefit. We thoroughly recommend Lisa as a breeder as we grow daily with our gorgeous little pup."

"What a wonderful breeder! Both our vet and our dog trainer are hugely impressed too by the calm, friendly and healthy puppy we have introduced to them.
We first made contact before the puppies were born and appreciated a lengthy phone call, to find out about us and alsoto give us confidence that we would be choosing from a really carefully planned and reared litter. So it turned out! We felt thoroughly involved in the litter’s first eight weeks and were most impressed by all the videos of snoozing puppies, immaculately clean, listening to classical music, but also felt we got a painless, for us, view of quite how much work, and fun, was going into achieving those moments of calm – a devoted but exhausted mother and exhausted (and devoted) humans.
We enjoyed learning about the puppies’ different personalities as they developed and were very happy to let the breeder choose the best match for us – the calmest, definitely the smartest (bias here) and quietly most determined (bias again) of them all.
Lisa, the breeder, has not abandoned us now and we find her advice on a Whatsapp group for the owners of all the litter really encouraging and helpful. Expert but never critical."

"Lisa has been fantastic from the moment we first contacted her to enquire about one of the puppies, until now that our puppy is 4 months old, and we’ve no doubt this will only continue.
She was keen for us to meet Bella whilst pregnant, and visit the puppies in her home from 3 weeks old. From the moment we arrived we felt very comfortable. She is totally dedicated to caring for the puppies, and we knew we had struck gold in finding our breeder.
Lisa provided daily updates with photos and videos, along with invites to visit puppies again before pick up day. She also took the owners preferences, requirements and individual circumstances to best match the puppies to the different owners.

"If you are thinking of buying a beautiful golden retriever puppy to add to your family, you really can do no better than a Sulis Golden puppy. Bred for health, good looks and a fantastic temperament they are much sought after so be prepared to go on the waiting list, but it will be worth the wait!
The breeder, Lisa, is meticulous in every aspect of the breeding process, using only the very best stud dog to mate with her brood bitch (and much loved pet) Bella. Both dogs will have had every necessary health check before mating and Bella‘s pregnancy will be closely monitored throughout.
The birth itself will take place at home in a calm and peaceful environment with Lisa delivering the pups and several ‘doulahs’ on hand to help with weighing, recording and putting colours on the new babies. From then on, each puppy will be monitored, weighed and assessed daily for the first few weeks, whilst nursing mum Bella will receive special food and supplements to ensure that her and her puppies get the very best nutrition.
Over the following weeks the Puppies will be gradually weaned onto goats milk and puppy kibble ensuring they are fit, healthy and fully weaned by the time they are ready to go to their new homes. Potential new owners will be vetted for suitability - Lisa wants her puppies to go to the very best homes and continue to live happy healthy lives.
If you’re lucky enough to be on the list, Lisa is more than willing to chat to you before the birth, just after and as the puppies grow and progress. She is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and approachable and happy to answer any queries you might have. You will also have the opportunity to visit and view the Puppies with Bella or if you live too far away can ‘visit’ via Zoom.

As a Golden Retriever breeder, one of the most rewarding parts of my work is inspiring the next generation to care for dogs with kindness, responsibility, and dedication to their welfare. Thanks to Lisa, she has showed me how to care for a litter of puppies and informed me of all the knowledge you need to know to breed them. I was lucky enough to be involved in the process and got to become really close with all the puppies, looking after them and watching them grow. Lisa had taught me all about the birthing process, their weights, food intake, nap times and so much more.
